Dr. Bill Stone Joins Diamond V^® Tech Service/Field Research Team

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (March 12, 2007)-Diamond V^® announced the addition of Bill Stone, DVM/Ph.D. to its field services team. Dr. Stone will serve as Director of Tech Service/Field Research for the Eastern United States and Eastern Canada. This move is part of the company's plan to continue growing in its technical and research initiatives.

Stone has been active in PRO-DAIRY and other programs in the state of New York to further educate producers and veterinarians in dairy herd management and nutrition. His main areas of research and effort have included forage management, rumen acidosis and approaches to reduce variation in the feeding program. 

Stone received a veterinary degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and after practicing veterinary medicine for three years attended graduate school at Cornell University, where he obtained his Ph.D. in 1995. Before joining the PRO-DAIRY program, Stone operated his own dairy nutritional/management consulting business in central New York. He specializes in herd health and nutrition and is very well known throughout the dairy industry.
