Diamond V Yeast Culture is an
all-natural feed ingredient containing the fermentation metabolites of
yeast cells. These metabolites help nurture the gut and stimulate
digestibility. Research studies conducted on both university and
commercial layer flocks has demonstrated the need for a healthy gut and
adequate supply of nutrients in order to sustain higher and earlier peak
egg production and enhance persistence of the lay cycle.
Leading poultry producers also target
the production of heavier and high quality eggs. High quality eggs remain
fresh longer and fetch premium returns.
Under current production conditions
birds may experience stress from high temperatures, inadequate ventilation
in the barn, disease and other challenges. Feed additives that alleviate
mortalities are important determinates of the profitability of a layer
operation.
Begin feeding 0.3% XP at 8-10 weeks and
continue through the laying cycle. If a lower feeding rate is desired,
feed a minimum 0.1% XP in the diet from week 26 (week after peak) through
the end of the laying cycle. Under stress conditions, ensure birds receive
a minimum of 0.1% XP in the diet throughout the lay cycle.
